Google announced what may ultimately be one of the biggest changes to their algorithm yet.

From the Official Google Blog: "Many of the changes we make are so subtle that very few people notice them. But in the last day or so we launched a pretty big algorithmic improvement to our ranking—a change that noticeably impacts 11.8% of our queries—and we wanted to let people know what’s going on. This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful."

So what does this means the Auto Blog is finally dead! No more scraper content using WPRobot or like this kind of software.

Notice the language being used. Specifically, "...reduce rankings for low-quality sites..." That means it's not only individual posts or pieces of content will be penalized for being deemed "low-quality" but entire websites. The announcement also mentions "low-value add for users" and sites that "copy content from other websites." The target? Content farms, to start. These sites exist and profit based on volume. The more content produced (often for a pittance) the better they do – or did.

I guess Mike has already mentioned it several times: it's no longer "auto blog" in its original meaning, but "value-added blogging in an automatic way"...so I guess the answer to your question should be both yes and no...

I'm happy as crap! This will further eliminate the junk blogs and add further credence to the ABB method. This IS what we as ABB members want. I am LOVING this!!

Guys, I already answered this in 2 other threads. Stop the scare tactics. This is what Google wants and yes, this can only help us here. Why? IF you build your blogs EXACTLY the way I tell you in the ABB 3.0 (not 2.0, not 1.0, Only Version 3.0) you can and will succeed. This change was already implemented, yet my 2 crappy test blogs are sitting at number #1 for their keywords still. What does that tell you?

Look at Step 13 if you don't know what I am talking about.

Right on brother, that's where my head is at. When you do it right and do it unique, you never have to fear ANYTHING by Google. I was laughing to myself about all the BS programs I have tried (thanks a pant load Brian Johnson!), and happy I did not invest in 100 domain names, crappy blogs, lousy looking themes etc. Thanks Mike

If anything it seems to have woken up a few of my sites that fell asleep nearly a year ago
